This gives the American Samoa Visitors Bureau the tasked of responsibility to promote tourism within American Samoa and among our people by getting the people involved with various projects and activities aimed at elevating American Samoa as a competitive tourist destination. The head of American Samoa Visitors Bureau is to be included as a member of theIsland Wide Claen Up Committee and to actively participate and contribute to the beautification of our islands.

Updating the strides in building codes and standards, land use procedures and protective outreach mitigation awareness programs have been consderable factors in alleviating the impact of disasters, new construction projects face stringent regulations, in Special Hazard Flood Areas, (SHFA)prone to flooding, tsunamis, high surf, landslides and other hazards.
