The Office of the Secretary of American Samoa is committed to providing the public with updated information regarding the local statutes and regulations of the Territory.
The Authentication Certificate issued by the Secretary known as an “Apostille” has recently been amended to include additional information pertinent to the original document(s) submitted.
The amended form will hereby be referred to as ASG FORM: SAS # 001-2024 and will go into effect as of April 1st, 2024. Thereafter, all Apostilles issued by the Office of the Secretary of American Samoa after April 1st, 2024 must be executed using form SAS # 001-2024.
