Online Notary Course and Examination

The Office of the Secretary of American Samoa is offering a four-hour Online Notary Public Certification Course on Thursday, August 20th, 2026.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, August 18th at 2:00 pm 

Registration Requirements:

1. Be 18 years of age or older

2. Have a valid Government-Issued photo ID

3. Pay the $100 registration fee

4. Be a legal resident of American Samoa

5. Be able to read and write English

6. Take and complete the Notary Public Certification Course

INSTRUCTIONS:

After registration, we will email updates and instructions as the course date approaches. Only those who have completed registration and submitted proof of the application fee payment will be permitted to take the course.

Following the course, you will need to take an online examination, monitored by the Course Instructor and our Office Staff. 

Upon finishing the examination, a feedback survey will be provided, which is anonymous.

Online Course - Minimum Requirements:

1. Set aside four (4) hours of uninterrupted time for the course.

2. A device with high-speed internet is required. You are responsible for ensuring a reliable internet connection throughout the course.

3. The device must have a camera, which should remain on during the course.

4. Participants must reside in American Samoa and plan to work as a Notary Public in American Samoa.
